The Brief

BMSTC are a charity that offers in-person and online support for people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families. They offer core therapies on a donation basis and complimentary therapies at significantly discounted rates.

They approached us in need of a new website and an enhanced brand identity – taking their logo and providing a colour pallette, font choices and brand guidelines for web and print materials.

What was the process?

We proposed building a new website for BMSTC using WordPress + GiveWP. We would create a website that:

  • Reflected the approachable, friendly nature of the organisation
  • Showcased the comprehensive treatement and facilities available
  • Was easy for BMSTC to update and manage
  • Facilitated donations via the GiveWP plugin
  • Worked well across different devices

Our Approach

We collaborated with BMSTC to decide on a colour pallette and other visual identity decisions. Once these were created we crafted page templates for key pages and built these out on WordPress.

We included various customised features:

  • GiveWP integration for taking donations
  • An events area with event listings (future and past events)
  • Fully accessible design pasing AA standards and including an accessibility plugin

We were really pleased to work with Southmedia when designing our new website. They guided us through the process, making it as easy and stress-free as possible. We created a website that is easy to use and looks great. They really understand our needs and help us achieve what we want. As our website evolves, it is reassuring – and such an advantage – to have Southmedia’s continued support.

Outcome and conclusion of the project

In designing and building the website for BMSTC, we created a user-friendly, modern and bold layout reflecting the quality of care, support and treatment that they provide to their clients.

The GiveWP plugin provides a route to significant donation revenue for the charity, and users of the centre as well as supporters are provided with well structured and comprehensive information about treatments, general information and fundraising.
