The Brief

Challenge Partners partner with primary, secondary, special and alternative provision schools, all united by a commitment to collaboration and challenge to ensure great practice isn’t trapped in individual schools.

The platform their existing website was built on was aeging, and they took the opportunity to ask us to work with them on a new, bolder visual identity and user experience – ensuring potential members could easily understand the benefits of partnering with them, and that existing members were able to easily find and use resources and to make connections with other schools and hubs in the Challenge Partners networks.

What was the process?

We proposed building a new website for Challenge Partners on Drupal, upgrading them to the latest, supported version and providing visual and functional enhancements in the process. The website would:

  • Have two-way integration with a popular CRM platform
  • Allow partners to sign up and pay for membership online
  • Provide a comprehensive search facility for resources
  • Enable schools, hubs and others to locate and learn from one another
  • Work cross-platform and cross-browser

Our Approach

We worked with Challenge Partners to evovle their brand identity, introducing new colours, shapes and fonts to expand their guidelines and make them more suitable for the weeb. We designed a series of templates for the new website based on these, ensuring that everything was held together with a consistent and thoughtful site and navigation structure.

The website relies on information from their CRM, and custom modules were written to adapt the standard Drupal integration to suit their needs. It also synchronises webform submission and event ticket purchase with their CRM.

Outcome and conclusion of the project

In designing and building the webbsite for Challenge Partners, we created a professional and easy to use layout that encourages engagement and conversion from potential partners, as well as providing clear pathways to resources and information about other partners for existing users.

On an ongoing basis, we work with Challenge Partners to iteratively improve the UI and content journey of their landing pages. This agile apporach ensures that their offering is continually refined and improved.
