We were going to write this up ourselves, but BB did such a great job of it we thought we’d let them do most of the talking! We’ve worked with BB for a number of years now, and most recently helped them rebuild their website to launch “BB Online” which allowed access to thousands of historical articles.
We’ve also built an app for them which you can download on the App store or on the Google Play Store, which lets you download and read BB even when you’re offline (available to subscribers only).
British Birds has worked with Southmedia for 6 years and, throughout thattime, Southmedia has offered a consistently high-quality and friendly service.
We recently launched our new online-publishing platform, ‘BB Online’, which allows us to publish and archive content from our journal online. Southmedia worked with us to build a custom site with all of the functionality that we and our customers required.
British Birds worked with Southmedia to develop our new website, but we also wanted to give customers a way of accessing content whilst away from home.
For many of our customers, referring to papers published in our journal is important for fieldwork; and fieldwork is often conducted away from wifi and mobile signal.
Southmedia developed an effective app that allows users to search, read and store content from our journal on their phone or tablet to access wherever they are.
